About Stephen Merrell, DMD, PLLC 

Dr. Merrell grew up in Hendersonville, NC and graduated from West Henderson High School.  While growing up, Dr Merrell was always working in and around his father’s dental office which allowed him to experience the profession of dentistry early on.

Dr. Merrell received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at North Carolina State University.  While at North Carolina State University, Dr. Merrell was a walk-on to NCSU’s baseball team and played for two years.

Dr. Merrell went on to graduate from Nova Southeastern University School of Dentistry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dr. Merrell treats patients in a caring and relaxing atmosphere while providing outstanding dental services for the Monroe, NC and surrounding areas.  He is a member of American Dental Association and South Carolina Dental Association while maintaining licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.  Outside dentistry, Dr. Merrell likes travel, fitness, and is an avid golfer.
